In this enlightening course, attendees will learn the history of hospice and how to work within a hospice organization. Tap into their own awareness of what dying, and death means to them. Learn the benefits of touch to the hospice client and how to massage a client at the end of life. Students will learn how to adjust their body mechanics.
Then students will learn how to properly document for a hospice company or for themselves if in private practice. The course will go through proper hand washing technique. Self-care of the therapist is an important part of working with hospice clients. Class also includes marketing tools and the difference between working for a hospice company and working as a contractor.
