In this interactive and challenging Webinar, Chiropractic Physician, SOMI Certified Medical Massage Practitioner/Trainer, and Licensed Massage Therapist Dr. Jeffrey Cullers, will present the science and clinical application of the incredible benefits of Post Isometric Relaxation Technique (PIR), also known in the US as a Manual Muscle Energy Technique.

Dr. Cullers will discuss and demonstrate how Post Isometric Relaxation Technique (PIR), a Manual Muscle Energy Technique tool is used to improve function through the release of hypertonic musculature and has been found to be more effective than simple stretching.

Post Isometric Relaxation Technique (PIR) is commonly used by osteopaths and utilizes an isometric contractual phase followed by gentle stretching of the same muscle.

Dr. Cullers will instruct the students on how to use proper body positioning when performing PIR for a variety of muscle groups to avoid injury and maximize their ability to work easier.

Students will learn and be able to immediately use the PIR techniques presented in their own practices.

This course is presented using ZOOM webinar. For the Hands-On portion of this course, to learn the Hands-On techniques presented, it is recommended to have a client/person to perform the techniques on. If you do not have someone to practice on, you will be observing.
